Hi! My name is Angie and I am thirty….something. I am married to the best, most patient man in the world and a mother to two gorgeous little boys. So why am I writing a blog? 5 years ago when I was pregnant with my eldest son, I attended a regular check-up at the Obstetrician. He told me straight-up that I was putting on too much weight. He explained that most mothers put on weight during their first pregnancy that they never lose, then again with the next pregnancy, until they are infinitely fatter with each pregnancy. Needless to say, I returned to the car and cried.
So after I gave birth to my healthy little boy, I set out to prove that bastard Obstetrician wrong. I had gained more than 20kg during my first pregnancy (**yowza**). Over the course of a year I slowly returned to my pre-baby weight……right before I fell pregnant and did it all over again.
Over the last 5 years I have learnt a lot about health and exercise. It has taken me a while to find my groove but I am happy with how far I have come. I have tried a lot and failed a lot. I am still learning, I am still trying. I hope my thoughts, findings and ramblings help others.
That fateful day at the Obstetrician was my turning point. I dove straight into the health and fitness world admittedly initially to lose weight but it developed into a want to a live longer life, to have healthy kids, and to feel good.
